Angel--King of Winter EPILOGUE
I've heard the angels on high
And have seen their majesty
But none know that mine
Had endured the greatest tragedy
My angel was like you and I, yet saintly all the same
He prayed and prayed for God to come, but God never came
Instead he met the devil himself, who smothered all his light
Who tried to keep him "safe and sound", but caused his dreadful plight
But soon that angel grew his wings and it was time to leave the nest
But the devil called for him to stay, and forever now he rests
He rests below you and I, right beneath our feet
And now I hope, that while he sleeps, all he meets is peace
My angel was innocent, and innocence incarna
